Managers or training professionals who wish to ensure that their planned training solutions accurately meet the needs of their business.
   
Aim
The aim of this course is to enable delegates to ensure that they provide the right training to the right people at the right time.
   
Objectives
By the end of this course each delegate will be able to:

  • Describe how the training needs analysis fits into the performance management process
  • Describe how to establish measurable criteria for a given task
  • Describe the different stages of a training needs analysis
  • Identify the line manager's role
  • Describe the link between the needs of the organisation and the performance of the trainee
  • Describe the benefits to the trainee
  • Demonstrate how to clearly identify what training their business needs
  • Design TNA questionnaires for different levels of organisational personnel
  • Use a structured approach to questioning, to build rapport and gain quality feedback
  • Analyse the gathered information and complete a formal TNA report
  • Describe different possible solutions to a business shortfall
  • Prepare a training proposal
  • Gain staff buy-in to a training recommendation
  • Ensure value for money by providing a link between training needs and evaluation
