Leadership and Team Building
Course Designed for
Supervisors and team managers who have gained experience within their role, but have
received little or no formal training. They are looking to provide clear direction and
leadership to their team to ensure maximum commitment in the achievement of the business
objectives.
Aim
The aim of this course is to enable delegates to achieve their business objectives by
creating and managing a positive team environment within their department.
Objectives
By the end of this course each delegate will be able to:
- Establish and build a team identity
- Help employees to develop professionally and
achieve their potential based on their different team roles
- State the difference between leadership and management
- List the roles and responsibilities of a leader
- Define the personal qualities that make an
inspirational leader
- Understand and develop the power of charisma
- Recognise different leadership styles and start using them
creatively
- Plan a strategy based on the four stages of team
building
- Understand the power of motivation
- Plan a motivational programme for the team and the
individuals within it
- Use delegation as a leadership tool
- Identify the principles of effective coaching and
counselling
- Set clear individual and team objectives
- Handle discontent within the team
