Course Title
Leadership and Team Building

Course Designed for
Supervisors and team managers who have gained experience within their role, but have received little or no formal training. They are looking to provide clear direction and leadership to their team to ensure maximum commitment in the achievement of the business objectives.

Aim
The aim of this course is to enable delegates to achieve their business objectives by creating and managing a positive team environment within their department.

Objectives
By the end of this course each delegate will be able to:

  • Define the main leadership qualities
  • State the difference between leadership and management
  • Recognise different leadership styles and start using them creatively
  • List the roles and responsibilities of a leader
  • Use delegation as a leadership tool
  • Identify the principles of effective coaching and counselling
  • Describe the different team roles
  • Explain the four stages of teambuilding
  • Set clear individual and team objectives
  • Understand the power of motivation
  • Handle discontent within the team
