Course Title
The Appraisal Process
Course Designed for
Supervisors and team managers with some experience, but little
or no formal training. They would like to develop their influencing skills to help them
conduct staff appraisals in a well structured, positive, forward looking environment.
Aim
The aim of this course is to enable delegates to improve their
business performance by conducting successful staff appraisal meetings.
Objectives
By the end of this course each delegate will be able to:
- Describe the six steps of the appraisal process
- Recognise the criteria for assessing management performance
- Describe the different types of evidence to use at a staff
appraisal meeting
- Construct an appraisal meeting agenda
- Use structured communication skills to influence a change in
behaviour
- Design a personal development plan using different types of
objectives
- Prepare for a progress discussion meeting
- Prepare for a quarterly review meeting

Three days: 9.30am - 4.30pm
