Course Title
Time and Stress Management
Course Designed for
Individuals who want to improve their personal and professional
effectiveness by applying simple time and stress management techniques.
Aim
The
aim of this course is to enable delegates to examine the causes of stress
and it’s impact on their own productivity, and, with special emphasis on
time management, to consider a range of techniques designed to help
themselves maximise the use of their own time.
Objectives
By the end
of this course each delegate will be able to:
Assess
their own stress levels and identify the common causes in the workplace and
at home
Identify
the most common effects of stress on their quality of life
Separate
their job into goals, tasks and activities
Demonstrate
the main criteria to use when prioritising tasks
Learn to
say “no” positively
Describe
the concept of primary and secondary tasks
Make best
use of their most productive time of the day
Use
planning controls to enhance their productivity
Manage gaps
in their time profitably
Tackle
procrastination effectively
Learn a
number of relaxation techniques to reduce the negative effects of stress
Identify
the areas in their life where they can ‘take control’ of some of the causes
of their stress and plan a positive course of action
Introduce
some tactics designed to sustain a long term positive mental attitude
Turn
setbacks to their advantage
Take
personal responsibility for managing their own stress
